For over ten years, the museum have been working toward more accessibility for everyone. It is certified ‘tourisme et handicap’, meaning it accounts for visual impairment and mobility and cognitive disabilities.

Some accomodations have been made for deaf and hard of hearing visitors as well.

You can find reserved parking space in front of the church, 30 meters from the museum. Buses can park in front of reception.

The site is almost fully accessible thanks to its confortable and safe route with many seats available throughout. 

All senses are invoked with samples to smell, videos and sounds, written explanations and objects you can touch.

On main spaces, museographic lighting highlights objects and descriptions accordingly.

In case of MOBILITY DISABILITIES:

- A wheelchair can be borrowed.

- Groundfloor and first floor have been made accesssible.

- Books, miniatures and detailed explaination are available for the 2 unaccessible spaces.

In case of VISUAL IMPAIRMENT:

- Guide dogs are welcome.

- A booklet printed in big font can be borrowed at reception.

- Many automatic sounds create an immersive atmosphere.

- Stairs are fully accessible with tactile warning strips, stair nosings, risers and double hand rails. 

- A magnifying glass can be borrowed at reception.

- Many objects can be touched.

- A short video is shown with clear explaination of the manufacture of the fourme.

In case of COGNITIVE DISABILITIES:

- Videos and sounds are placed around the site.

- The site has been thought to facilitate the course and understanding of visitors.

- Didactic elements.

- Many objects can be touched.

In case of HEARING IMPAIRMENT:

- Every video is subtitled.

- Three hearing induction loops are placed in the museum.

- Written booklet are available at reception.

- Creation of ambiances for an easier understanding.
